The desk was made out of beams salvaged from the constructing. Hanging above the desk is a twisting construction taken from roots rising round a tree trunk.
In accordance with D’Annibale, the roots suffocate the tree and signify her dedication to “articulating and honouring the perpetual nature of life and demise”.

An oblong opening within the ceiling was created to reveal the vaulted roof construction. This nods to temple buildings and lets mild into the house, casting patterns of shadows on the partitions by the hanging root.
The artist added olive bushes and floral planting to the location’s landscaping alongside a pathway that results in views of the close by ocean.
