Tjena! I assumed I would spherical off the week with a tour of the Swedish log home of style and inside designer Magda Marnell, Alexander  and their three youngsters; sprint, Milada and child Lev. Nestled within the woods in japanese Uppland, the home was in whole disrepair with out working water or sewage once they purchased it in the beginning of the pandemic. however they fell in love with the seventeenth century former iron smith’s residence.
Magda and Alexander set about drilling a properly and putting in an ecological sewer earlier than combining three properties to kind one bigger home, constructing an extension and renovating the inside. All the pieces has been carried out with a cautious hand, as to not disturb the historic soul of the area. Uncovered beams, stone partitions in earthy tones function a country backdrop for libraries of books, classic and vintage furnishings and delightful, distinctive touches (maintain a glance out for the mural by Czech Republic artist Jindra Skrivankova – impressed by murals generally present in 18th century log homes – and representing the household of 5 – lovely!).

So lovely, I really like the rawness of it and the way the historical past of the home shines via.

Is there something that caught your eye?

Wishing you all an awesome weekend!

Kram!

Niki
